I recently got a working pac board in a trade with a fellow KLOV'er. Before plugging anything into the cab I checked voltages to make sure they were correct and nothing would get fried, voltages were spot on.

I plug in the board and it booted right up and allowed me to start a game. As I was playing my first game the game reset. It went through the self test and says everything is working. It then went to a crosshatch pattern then some garbled characters then the self test screen followed by the crosshatch.

Should I check the PS voltages again or is there something else that could be causing this?

Check the edge connector on the game's harness - these get all burnt and crummy, and cause intermittent connections. Also, check the fuse holders - they're well known for going intermittent on Pacs.

The coin door was loose and I noticed that when I tapped it the game reset. Checked the harnesses and connectors and made sure everything was plugged in correctly, problem solved.
