im thinking this is what people call a humbar but not sure. its not super noticeable in the video but if you look closely you can make out the wave of dimness crossing the screen from left to right. im assuming this is a ps issue thats caused by voltage drop(bad caps)?

Yes that's a humbar. Start by cleaning your edge connector, removing the filter PCB if there, and replacing the fuse blocks and fuses.

ive done it now!!! lol . pure white screen. no booting. im guessing its the daughter boards from swapping in new roms.
thanks

is this monitor a k7000? by chance? cause i chased an issue for awhile on mine like this and it turned out to be sync issue, ever so slight flag wave, almost no noticeable but it bugged me for years... then i was reading an article by bob R and said i wonder, pulled my door and sure enough...

now i ran my game years with that tiny almost unnoticeable jiggle wave, it even wouldn't appear at first but after the monitor warmed up, tiny wave. Bob says a host of issues can be caused by the sync on these...

Just a thought because i freaking replaced, repined, all the mods every one ever suggested, and all along it was me that wasn't paying attention when i rebuilt and reinstalled the monitor

tell you the truth i havent identified the monitor yet. ill check tomorrow and identify if its hooked up properly. right now though im having bigger problems as ive lost all picture. game is just a white screen, no boot sequence at all. ive pulled and reseated all socketed chips. found a broken leg and ran a jumper wire, cleaned the pcb edge connector and finger board, and still nothing. done for tonight. ill look for cold solder joints tomorrow and maybe check voltages at the connector. some look slightly burnt and im guessing they are the 5, 12, or ground. let me know what you think. game was working great until i attempted to fix the humbar.
thanks

i think ive identified the monitor as a WG K-4600. anyone who can confirm this would be great. there are very few markings on it. cleaned up decent. dont think this is my issue.
thanks

Cap it while it's taken a part. Looks like a Bob Roberts kit is on there now. Get a kit from security001 and make sure you get c621 HV filter cap.
