Hey everyone,
I've spent hours trying to figure this out. I know nothing when it comes to repairing or checking boards, ohm's and the like. I have a Pacman cocktail. When I plugged it in and started it up it had a "green" screen and no sound. I changed board to one I thought worked and now it has the scrolling dashes and still no sound. Could it be a second board not working or monitor? Any help would be great.

A bad connection where the harness plugs on the board can cause all kinds of strange problems. I had several symptoms recently when trying three known working boards. I wound up going over both sides of the board connector with a pencil eraser. It was dull and after using the eraser, it cleaned / shined up. Sometimes I would get a blank screen. Other times I got weird characters. I would try cleaning the connector first.

Thanks for the advise. I did both boards and unfortunately I have the same results.

Check the power supply. Probley low or no voltage going to pcb board

Andrew

OK. Here is a stupid question. Since I have no experience on working on these. How do I go about checking the voltage without screwing this up more then it already is? Greg

have you checked fuses ? all good connections in the harness, edge connector, checked voltages as stated before, can you try the board in another cab? to determine if pcb or cabinet issue?

I have a pac to jamma so can test the board if you cannot, and have a working pac board here as well, welcome to bring those/cab when you come to get a monitor, lmk

I might have to take you up on that offer. I wouldn't mind checking out the one board I have. I believe that the one I have is bad but not sure on the other one. As far as bringing the cab, that will likely not happen due to transportation issues.
