I dont want to remove everything what s on the pacman.

wondered if i just leave pacman power supply there..

adding power switcher.. there is two bottom one.. AC.. connect both lines to the Power Isolation?

that s all i need to do? then hook up switcher to harness to the gameboard and CP aswell as monitor?

I just need to know where i should connect AC to ? thanks

I have very little idea what you're talking about... but let's see... You want to install a Jamma harness in a Pac-Man, so you need a switching power supply. You simply purchase a switching power supply, and mount it in the bottom of the game and attach the Jamma harness to it. Hook up the AC input to the switcher - just tap it off somewhere in the bottom of the cabinet - you have 120VAC input to both existing transformers.

You obviously need to connect the new Jamma harness to everything in the game - the control panel, monitor, new switching power supply and coin door.

You'd probably be better off buying or making an adapter to allow you to use the existing harness.

Or, if you install a Pac-Man board in the cabinet, you won't have to modify anything. :D

yes i heard two different style of adapter

one require a power siwtcher..

other one.. doesnt require power switcher and known as aligator adapter.

If you want to hook up a switcher and leave the original stuff in there just pull out the 4 fuses to isolate the transformer. Then you can solder your +5 and +12 right to the fuse clips opposite side away from transformer. No cut wires and it can easily be removed. Tap the 120v for the switcher into the feed side of the main transformer.
You will have to crank up the +5 pot on the power suppy to compensate for the drop you will have from the rectifiers on the game pcb. Some people jump the diodes out but I find its not neccesary.

it s getting more complex.. it s easier if i just leave it be lol!

and find adapter!

thaanks everyone for the help!

Adapters are on ebay for like 15 dollars but you'll pay 15 for shipping too.
