Just got a Pacman cocktail. I've repaired the G07 monitor and put a switcher in it. When the cabinet is open and the monitor is outside the color is perfect. When I close the lid, the colors on the coin side go funky. Looks like there is a magnet on that side. Everything is original except the fan and the switcher. Anyone seen this before or got any ideas?

Simple......
Buy a degaussing coil, Bob Roberts sells a nice one for around $40??
Plug it in, hold it close to the screen and turn it out and slowly move it away in a circular motion. May need done several times.
It'll fix you right up!!
If you are in the hobby, you get some use out of owning one. I use mine quite often.
OR find a local KLOVer that will bring theirs over and help ya out!!
I would, if I wasn't 2000miles away!! :)

My 12 year old son and I rebuild a bunch of games as a hobby. I could use one in my arsenal. Thanks for the info. I don't know why the degauss circuit in the G07 didn't take care off the problem.

No prob man,
Yeah I'm not sure why they don't work all the time either? Guessing its not quite powerful enough?
You can TRY closing the lid, power it on, open the machine while it is powered on.
Shut it off, close the lid, then turn it back on.
This MAY work for you, or at least make it better....
It'll still probably need manually degaussed though?

If you open a midway cocktail with it powered up you will have this issue nearly every time. The GO7 degaussing circuit will correct it over time but it would take many power cycles to do it. Also, you cant simply turn it off and on as the ptc resistor needs to cool down before it will function again.
