Need some advice ... I obtained a working Pacman cabaret that is in pretty good shape except the prior owners caulked damaged edges on the sides then painted over the woodgrain vinyl. Two questions:

1) what is the easiest method to remove the old vinyl? It is very hard to get off with paint scraper.
2) where can I obtain some replacement woodgrain vinyl that matches the original

Many thanks!

Heat Gun or Blow Dryer and Alot of Patience is the best way to get the old stuff off, heat an area and find a corner to pull on and go slowly and it should come right off without too much difficulty.

You could try this for replacement vinyl, sold by the foot but you don't
need much to to a cabaret cabinet.

Lay the machine on its side and put Citrustrip on it and let it sit for an hour or so. Then all you have to do is grab an edge and pull it all off at once. Ive done 4 cabarets that way now and it is the easiest way to do it trust me. Ive used every other method and all tho they work, it will take alot longer and you will have to work hard at it. You can get Citristrip at walmart over in the paint section.

I am building a cabaret and wanted to use the woodgrain vinal as well. I searched for Contact paper and found it. The issue with it was it was not wide enough and I was not about to match ends to make it the width I needed. I searched ebay and found the above link as well. The issue there is its pricey, $8-$10 a foot. It would have cost me $175 for all the feet I needed.

I scraped the idea and am painting it black with side art from the full sized game, only sized for this cabaret.

Good luck!

I bought a 100' foot roll and 36" wide of woodgrain vinyl from www.designyourwalls.com a few years ago for $100. Its an exact color match but it is thinner. I never could find anything thicker. Basically I never could find and "exact" match for what was originally on there.
