I am restoring a Pacman Stand Up, and the artwork on the Bezel is SHOT.
I haven't seen any replacements out there that I like.
What is the KLOV standard for replacing this? Without Spending $150 from twobits for a bad reproduction........

Here's how I do it if it's not too far gone:

Also, check out this thread.

You'll find good advice from KLOV members. I have a way that works well for restoring the yellow border dots. If yours is too far gone and you don't want the TwoBits version, you still have choices:

Find a used one in good condition and apply the techniques listed above.
Buy the graphic "underlay" and apply it to the glass after you clean everything off.

Hope that helps.

sent you a note about your resto page...from page 7 on it's not working...pretty cool read up to that point...looks great.

does anyone sell replacement leaf switches? I have an original stick in mine and i'd like to put new switches in it.

Thanks! I've been a little lazy lately and have parked the resto at the documented point. Stay tuned... I should be able to get back to it soon.

I have a number of original Pac joysticks but not the replacement leaf switches alone. If you don't find someone here who can sell you those, let me know if you'd like me to hook you up with a complete joystick.

BTW, I think the moderators prefer these restoration threads to be put in the "Restorations, Cabinets, and Cosmetics" section.

Yeah I probably should have started this one in the Resto thread section.......
Mods, feel free to move it.

I'd say this one is too far gone, it's all bubbled with all sorts of parts flaking and missing.
Who makes a nice "underlay" style one? I've seen a couple out there.....

the only one I could find was this - http://www.artworkdoctor.com/product_info.php?products_id=83

although this guy doesn't get the greatest reviews.

Here is a link to a Pac I just picked up that is going to be parted out.
I have a pic of the bezel placed against the floor so you can see what parts of the graphic are missing.
I think it looks pretty good, not mint, but a 6 or 7 out of 10.
The bottom is the worst part and that gets mostly hidden. Also, with a black board behind it, it will be harder to tell what black is missing.

That one could turn out pretty nice--I've touched up worse than that and it was almost impossible to see the rework.

Yeah that is one that I found....
There is one on Ebay too, I'm leery of both....
Anyone seen one from this guy?

Rainman, PM me a shipped price on that one you have if you are willing to part with it....

I will. I think shipping will be the most expensive part. I probably should bring it to UPS to have them box it nicely. Would hate for it to get cracked. I will PM once I know.
