Some photos. About $11,500 apparently. I actually sort of linke the first Royale design better. This one makes me feel I'm on a Las Vegas casino floor.

Pac-Man Battle Royale is now available in an upright deluxe cabinet that features a large 54" LCD monitor and four individual playing stations.

If this was posted already I missed the thread. (I saw someone post a D&B flyer, but that's about it).

$11,500 for a game that is nowhere near as good Ms pacman or PacmanCEDX. What a waste.

Step right up step right up folks and make yourself feel like a total tool while standing in front of the most blatant attempt to cash in on Namco's number one franchise.

I played this at Dave & Busters Wed. Fun game. Kinda cool that you can eat the other pac players.

Not worth 11 G's in my opinion but there is not much out there in coin-op land that will get the attention of the new generation of players.

Lets see, do I buy this game or a new car?

The car won't pull in $600-900/wk in revenue, even in a high-traffic location. Pun intended.

Sadly, this new pac-man is a multi-player party game and is weak on gameplay. I tried it a couple times and it was neat, but there's not much to it and gets dull quickly. It's a short, best-two-out-of-three match play game with rounds typically lasting all of 20 seconds at the most.

I saw on their FB page that it's "Dave and Buster's exclusive". Is that due to a deal or because no other ops are dumb enough to spend $11k on it?

20 seconds?

What kind of game design is that? Hell, a game of Flamin' Finger usually lasts longer...

It's a cool game, but the one I played at D&B was 7.5 chips to play (that's over $2) and the game only gave us 3 rounds to play. At that price it should at least 3 times as long...

Can you choose to be a ghost instead? Would be a better option to have a fifth controller and have the choice of being a ghost vs another gay pacman.

Did you ever play Pac Man Vs. on Gamecube? It was basically that idea. 3 people were ghosts on the Gamecube and they could only see a small part of the maze, and one person was Pac-Man on attached GBA ( he could see entire maze). Catch Pac-Man and you got to become Pac-Man. Awesome party game.

Yeah, played that too. Its one of the better modern Pac-Man games. They re-released it on the Nintendo DS where you can link other DS's to play. Then best part is that you only need one cart to play it.

I think this Royal deluxe cab looks pretty cool. I will want to buy one once the price becomes more affordable but that will be like in 10 years. I remember thinking the same thing when Star Wars Triligy arcade came out and the same thing happend.

Givin the choice, I would still get the cocktail version over the deluxe version.

Pic #2 gives me an awesome idea for a bar for the arcade...
Despite it's obvious cheese, I think any Pac release = awesomeness.
Would be nice if they decided to make a real upright of CE DX in some kind of new fangled Pac-Man cabinet. :001_sbiggrin:

That's only on machines ops are too lazy to adjust the rounds on. I have mine set at seven so people get their 50¢ worth.
