I guess you can't buy this chip anymore, would someone be willing to send me the code so I can burn my own? If not, would someone be willing to sell a spare? The exact chip I'm looking for is here:

http://www.autoslot.info/DIY.htm

Let me know, thanks.

Yah, I saw that. I asked him if the chip on that board is the same as the DIY chip that supports the auto credit. If I can take the chip off that board (it looks socket-ed), and if it wires the same, I have no problem buying that board.

I primarily want the chip for the auto credit add functionality. His board doesn't appear to support that. I'm pretty sure that it's because of where/how it plugs in, but I'm not 100% sure his chip supports it either.

I haven't heard anything from the seller.

does anbdy make a one armed bandit conversion for em? THats sacrelidge im sure. I gotta get me an autostop thing that looks sweet! o

Someone makes a one armed bandit mod....and yes, that's sacrilege :p For me, the autostop takes away a bit of the fun. I got into pachislo because you don't just stare at reels moving, you actually do something. Also, i'm not sure how the autostop interferes with bonus modes. Technically, you can stop the reels on 7's/whatever by eye once you're in pre-bonus mode, so the autostop might make you bonus less often? I dunno...

For the most part I agree with you. The main reason I want the autostop chip is not for the autostop, but for the credit add feature. I'm not a fan of loading the tokens, holding down a button and auto crediting 53 tokens looks great. That's let me keep a lot more coins in the hoppers, less loading, less dealing with tokens :)

In terms of the bonus modes, when you hit the bonus, before you spin, you can hold down one of the buttons for 3 seconds to turn the auto stop off. That way if you get to a bonus mode where you have to hit reels in order, you can play. After the bonus mode, in 3 seconds you can turn the auto stopping back off.

I hear ya. I remember while roaming through Yahoo Japan Auctions a few years ago I found these DIY devices that you stick down the credit slot, a light would flash rapidly to trick the sensor into thinking coins were going in, and you'd get credits. I recall them only working on certain machines though.

I was reading a forum thread that was talking about hooking up a momentary pushbutton to the coin sensor to trick the opto into thinking a token was going through. I think I'm going to give that a go and see. Pressing a button to add a credit would be fine too. Not quite as nice as the auto credit, but still nicer than dealing with tokens.

I think I know what you were getting at with that question. I found out that this does not work for games with multiple sensors on the coin mech. AKA, all my games.
