Does anyone here have a board diagram, schematic, repair tips, ect...?
I have one that I did have working many moons ago, I put it away and now it does not work. No Video (Dead board) No Sync output.

I have the pac repair manual but as theres WAY to many things diff, it does no real good.
Chip locations all wrong Chips are diff.. ect...

A block diagram would be great but whatever I can get will help.

TIA
Darren

Well, After poking around with a logic probe I found a dead set of traces comming off the top left 161 chip. That led to a 7402 that was also dead on the same trace. Taking the "shotgun" method I replaced both parts.

There was also some weak looking traces near the 2114 RAM that I touched up. But end Story, is what appears to be a Working Mrs. Pacman bootleg.

All colors are bright Sync locks perfect, and the controls appear to work.

So it went from dead when I bought it years ago, to working (put in storage) to dead again, to working.

Wow, just for a spare board. LOL

Congrats!

Yes, on those Pac boards (including boots) the 74LS161 chips are used to divide the clocks for the horizontal and vertical components needed to synchronize everything.

They are a common failure item.
