if you have a ms pac thats all original, if i plug the jamma adapter into it from there can i just plug a 60/1 board in and ill be good to go? (aside from wiring up the buttons)

what exactly do i have to do with the power supply? i cant keep the pac one can I?

i couldnt seem to find a detailed write up on this anywhere with pics.

thanks

the pac to jamma adapter has an ATX connector for power. the original PS will power the monitor and marquee lights. and technically you don't need to do anything with the buttons since the jamma adapter has a jumper that lets you use P1 and P2 buttons as fire buttons.

so leave the old power supply alone and wire a second p/s to the adapter?i have the 60/1 board and jammaboards.com adapter already in hand. it doesnt show where exactly the jumpers go either

this adapter, correct? on the right side you just plug in any old PC ATX power supply. and the jumper locations are printed on there, kinda hard to see in the pic though. 1&2 and 3&4 enables the buttons.

yes, thats exactly what i have

i read this thread and according to the 2nd poster you plug it in and it sounds like it should fire right up?

If your original monitor and PS work, you could just buy a Jamma-Ms Pac adaptor and plug the multiboard directly to the adaptor, set the dip for CGA and it should hopefully work but you will probably want to either add pushbuttons or double up the start buttons so you can play the other games on the multi.
If you have a nice, new PS, then you will have to wire things from scratch basically, just connect the jamma harness, connect the Ground, 12v and 5v to the appropriate terminals on your PS and wire up your joystick/buttons, connect a new VGA monitor to the 15 pin connector and you're set.
Wiring up a new coin door will be an adventure for you! ;)

some other things iver read tell me i need a diffrent p/s though?

this is the power supply i bought with it. do i need to wire its own external power chord into the wall or can i just split the original ms pac one?
