I just picked up 18 pac boards and a bunch of boxes of misc pac daughtercards and mspac aux baords. I didnt even look through the stuff until I got home and I found a pac sex change board in there. Its interesting because its the same as the one on mowermans old site but the pcb itself is a little different that the photo he had up.
I know you need bootleg roms to go with this but does it require all six? Anyone have any details on this pcb?

What differences are there between yours and the one he has pictured ? (component wise)

According to his -
This particular auxiliary board is designed to convert a Pac-Man pcb into a Ms Pac-Man but it requires new (bootleg) EPROMs for all of row 6 & row 5 ROMs on the Pac-:Man board.

No help here, but put me down for a working pac board when you go through them.

Robert

I got the boards from an op who had them listed on ebay. I contacted him and found he had a bunch more so we made a bulk deal on them and a bunch of other stuff. I picked up a half dozen GO7 chassis to rebuild. I also picked up a Galaga and Mspac project that I will be picking up in a week or two.
Here are a couple pics of the sex change board. Its virtually identicle (same components) to the one on mowermans site except it has a full pcb and is not trimmed away like the one pictured. Im sure its worth nothing other than a cool piece of history to display in the pac room.
Im also posting a pic of my stock of pac boards, have about 75 of them at the moment. I enjoy working on them and typically will fix 2-3 in a day when the mood strikes me.

Also looks like I might have finally scored the KI2 CP I have been looking for. He should have it waiting when I go to pick up the other machines. Been looking for one for a while now to complete my KI1 to KI2 conversion.

Peale, talk to Jrok and see what he charges for his daughtercards. They are the size of the socket and only have one surface mount part on it, very cool. Spaeth also sells his version which is similar to the originals but slightly smaller. Jrok gave me a great deal on a big lot of his cards so im not sure what he charges for them at regular price. I got lucky with this batch of boards because I got a box with a bunch of the cards, enough to populate about half these boards I just picked up.

Wow - at one time I had about 50 on hand during the ms / pacman cocktail "boom" several years ago and could not repair and sell them fast enough. I would still like to know where all of the lost Z80 sync bus and Vram addresser piggy back boards are hiding.

Its mostly the sync bus cards that are missing due to the fact that its not as obvious if they are plugged in backwards. The vrams hang off the side if plugged in backwards so its usually noticed before getting turned on and fried.
