I'm in the process of doing some custom artwork and would appreciate it if someone could direct me to where I can get the letter fonts for the Pac-man/Ms. Pac-man and Williams games. (Preferably in vector format).

Thanks a lot.

You don't say exactly what you mean by "Pac-Man font", but here is a good place to start.

Those "Pac" fonts, along with some others I've found, don't appear to be accurate.

And I also need the marquee fonts for Joust, Robotron, and StarGate.

Thanks.

If you mean the fonts are not what is on the marquee, it is because the marquees don't use fonts. They use art, meaning they were drawn by hand.

Computer software that used fonts didn't exist for common computers back then, so it isn't very likely you will find an exact match for any typeface used on many older marquees. Even common typefaces such as Helvetica used 30 years ago differ slightly from what is found in computer fonts today.

Most of the game fonts available are custom made by someone basing the design on the few characters available for a particular game. If you want something more accurate, you probably will have to draw it yourself.

Speaking of fonts - anyone have a font that looks like this sign (including the blocks?)

Hard to tell from the picture, but that typeface looks like Copperplate. It doesn't include the blocks, and there are many variations in the Copperplate family, my guess would be Copperplate Heavy.

You should be able to find a free version easily, as it is a very commonly used font.
