I am simply starting this thread with some current pics of the pac I am going to restore. I will update it in the coming weeks.

you can see the shattered ms pac glass bezel in the bottom currently. fortunately I picked up an unreal specimen of a pac glass bezel. looks almost brand new.

The game is originally a pac cab, appears to be converted to some type of bastard ms pac. but it will be pac again.

im sorry about the broken glass, it made me cringe to see that pic, it brings images of breaking pinball backglasses into my head. Nightmares i used to have as a youngster where my father would lose it on me

good luck with the restore and as someone who is currently restoring 3 machines at the same time, don't take on any other projects until you finish this one. And also the last 10% of work on the machine will be the deal breaker don't give up it'll be worth it.

--edit--
i see you're an old timer here sorry didnt realize thought this was your first restore, i could learn a million things from ya and will be watching this thread! my uncle wants a pacman restored. good luck

well I have been on here a few years, but done only a few really good restores.
hyper sports
qbert
track and field

the rest of my restores tend to be old beat generic cabs that I turn into 60 in 1's for buddies. So those tend to lack detail and 100% effort. Don't get me wrong I make them look good. But the qbert and hyper sports I did, I am proud of.

thanks for the words of encouragement bud, I know it's a lot of work, but I have everything I need to do it, except the main board (no problem getting that) and I want a 96 in 1 to put in it.
