Well, I have been sitting on this one for a while, now that the garage is clean I pulled it out and began stripping paint. This cabinet is very solid and is gonna make a real nice subject for re-stenciling. It was exciting (though tedious) going from this:

One of these days I'm gonna get me one of them yellow PAC cabs, it's in my future I tell you. Can't wait to see it all cherried out.

This should be a good one to keep an eye on. I will be doing the same project, time permitting. I am aiming to have it done by Christmas for my wife. I am hoping it will win me a few "wife credits" considering it is the only game she really wants.

Cool, I'm going to keep an eye on this thread. A minty Pacman cab is a thing of true beauty, and we all know that Phet is the man when it comes to minty restores... :D

Are you planning to stencil it? (ok, I need better reading comprehension skills....)

I have been procrastinating for weeks now. I have had a minty Pac since June of 2008 and finally got the stencils in June of 2009.... Maybe I will get it stencilled in June of 2010....

So where did you get the stencils? Can you show pics of them? Keep taking those pictures!

You have a genuine Nintendo Vs. UniSystem machine? That's awesome. You don't see those too often. Do you have any plans to restore that? I've never seen a restoration project thread on one of those. Does anyone else here even have one?

God that's beautiful. Talon, yours is the reason I decided to take this one on. I was just gonna paint it black and make it into a multi or a Bowl O Rama for the kids, or trade it away for a Taito cab, but when I saw your restored Pac-Man^^^I knew then what I needed to do with mine. Mine will never turn out as nice as yours, but I shall do my best. Pac-Man will always be the essence of the arcade for me. First game I actually remember playing, hearing and seeing multiples of in the same place. Now, does anyone have a nice Pac-Man bezel for sale?

I actually planned on fixing it up and covering it in black vinyl. I wanted to make it into an R-Type or my Playchoice-10. The gray mottled laminate is actually very very ugly. The cab is built with Particle board and OSB (chip board). Pretty crappy construction materials.

I agree..there have been many days when I miss the one I had. It was the first game I aquired as a newb game collector. It was broken and I repaired with with lots of help from the old RGVAC forum guys. Ahh memories.
