i had a power supply switcher go bad on my in my pacman. at some point it was added. I bought a used one on ebay where he sells alot of them so i was ok with a used on. Now when i hook it up the same way i get a humming noise from the unit and the digital 5.0 reading goes blank. Is the unit bad? its not till i hook the wires that are soldered to the main board that it happens.....just the two A/C wires work fine its like theres a issue with power coming out. Im at a loose....i just figured id swap and be playing by now....any ideas?

i have a switcher in my rally-x and it was makeing noise. i decided to check the voltages coming out of it and it was 4.78 volts turned it up to 5.10 and the noise went away.

Probably bad, but if you have the switcher also powering the coin door lights, unplug that...

BTW - if you have something else to test the power supply with, do so. Wouldn't be the first time a board problem pulled the +5 down...

do just unplug the harness from the coin door? Ill have to look to see. He (the seller) swears the box is good but of course he would not to have to refund or replace it. IM just so agrivated and over this?? isnt there more important things in my life to worry about...like how my electric bill doubled since i bought 9 arcades and left them on 24/7.....lesson learned!!!! :)
