Pac-Man Fever coming to Rock Band

FTA:
"Ozone Entertainment, the Rock Band Network authoring company handling Pac-Man Fever, explains that Buckner & Garcia obtained all the rights to the songs, game titles, and sound effects by re-recording the album in 1999 (and negotiating 39 separate contracts)."

So I wonder if the re-record is distinguishable from to original? A friend, ahem, shared his copy with me several years ago, but it was after 1999.

We had a jukebox in our 6th grade lunchroom in '82. Songs cost a dime, and I bet Pac-Man Fever was played no less than 3 times per lunch for months. Even I got tired of it. :)

As much as I love having the same Pac-Man Fever record I listen to as a kid, I don't think I could stomach having this on Rock Band. Those songs sure didn't age well.

I love them BECAUSE they're so horrible. I thought most of the campy was on purpose. It's the ultimate joke album.

Heh, a while back I managed to find a copy of Pac-Man Fever on a 45. As a double 'bonus' the song on the reverse side is Do The Donkey Kong. I actually like the DK song better.

My 7 year old daughter is constantly picking those songs on the juke. I just laugh when I hear them because I know who picked 'em.
