I was wondering if anyone knew what it would take to convert the Pac-Man to a 60-1 multicade? What are the parts I would need and any good websites I can use to guide me?
Thanks

It will require:

*New monitor
*New harness
*New control panels
*New cabinet
*New PCB
*New batteries
*New attitude
*New shoes

Shouldn't take more than 30 hrs total work and $6,200.

But, if that's too much for you, you can generally buy one off of CL for $300-500. Sell the Pac-Man to another KLOV member for the cash. :)

If you take a look at Lizardlick's section on boards:
http://www.lizardlick.com/pages/boards.shtml

They have the 60-in-1 board and the JAMMA-to-Pac-man converter

All you would need are those two things, a switching power supply, and new control panels. And that's about it I believe. Though I'm not sure if the cocktail cabinet harness is different from the upright one

You cant just swap out the board set on it?

Nope. And, if you try to, not only will the boardset be ruined, but it'll turn into a horrible Franken-cocktail monster, sprout legs, and attempt to eat your family. The only thing that'll save you at that point is repeating the following chant aloud: I will not convert classics into crap, I will not convert classics into crap...

He was being sarcastic.

You need at minimum:

1) Pac-Man-to-JAMMA adapter that converts the AC to DC, or connects to:

2) Switching Power Supply if you use an adapter that doesn't convert the AC to DC.

3) 4 buttons (two for each player) that you have to figure out how to mount on that control panel without covering the artwork too severely, or be in the way of the joystick mount, although you can get around that by:

4) Buying new 11" control panels (and artwork) from www.arcadeshop.com (they also sell a complete assembled control panel with new buttons and joystick):

5) a 60-in-1 board (obviously)

6) wiring to connect the two buttons on each side to the JAMMA adapter. I find it easier to just install an entire new JAMMA harness with a switching power supply. That way you don't need an adapter, and it has all the wiring you need.

7) the knowledge to do so. There is a thread entitled "48-in-1 FAQ" here somewhere that answer a lot of questions about these boards...

I've seen this happen before , its scary !!

Maybe I will just keep it the way it is. If I try to sell it what is a fair price. Its in really good condition with a crisp picture?

I made a sweet pacman multicade cocktail once. Oh wait, I started with this:

I guess my situation doesn't apply to gutting a nice, perfectly working pacman you could easily sell for really good money as-is or trade for pretty much any other arcade game(s).

Pac Man - Dedicated upright/cocktail $300-$500. Collector/ebay price. (seen them go for much more sometimes)
