I ran across this guy yesterday who has a Mrs. Pac cab with a 96-1 boar in it. It has around 90 pac games on it and the other 6 or so are somthing different but nothing like Galaga. I have never seen one of those boards so are they worth anything or even hard to find? Oh and the board works off the 1 and 2 player button theres no added extras to the CP. Thanks.

I'm the guy that builds those and you can PM me or order via my Project Blog at:

The Oct 28 post has the ordering info, I'll create an updated sale page to coincide with the next project. I also build the 10 in 1 Multi Qberts and did the Exidy 440 Multi's.

I'll chime in on this - there's been some pretty heated discussion in the past about various Pac mod boards, and who's the best.

From what I've read, Mike's 96 in 1 is the only board that truly replicates the Pac games without any deviation from the arcade experience.

Some of the others exhibited some very slight differences in the ghost AI - namely something called 'tunnel drift.' Search the term here, and you'll see what it's all about.

Mike's board claims not to have that issue.

I don't own Mike's board, but I do have an 8 in 1 kit, made by a forum member here. I'm happy with it. I'm not a world class Pac player, nor do I ever plan on being one. Grouping ghosts by using the tunnels is not something I plan on doing.

Pac

Wow that answers that. I had never seen one before and I just wanted some info on it. I myself dont really care for multis but I was checking it out for a guy who was loooking at buying the came. The guy selling the game said they didnt make them anymore, so apparently he got the wrong story we he purchased it. Thanks for the info guys.

I ordered one of Mike's boards a few months ago and can say with certainty its one of the best rom swap mods you can do for an original pac / ms. pac board. The pac-man games play identical to the originals, there are may modes (fast, slow, plus, etc) and mazes to choose from not to mention a few additional non pac games as well (pengo, space invaders, couple others that ran off a z80). Switching / pausing games is quick and simple, scores save 10 character names to nonvolatile memory, separate lists for each mode. Lock down and unlock features for operators via dipswitches. The attention to detail in these is amazing, really breathes some life back into those cabinets.

Thanks Mike!
