I have 2 Pac-Man control panels. The one on the left has the proper red 4-way restrictor. Feels really nice and responsive. The joystick on the right appears to have some jankey restrictor that has sloppy corners and makes me play like a 3-year old.

I'm I stupid? (don't answer that) Why can't I find anyone who sells the red one on the left?

A reward of 1 rep will be given to the first person that can link me to it!

BONUS if you can find a vendor that sells the proper restrictor AND centering grommet!

Could you cut a new restrictor plate using the good one on the left as a template? That could fix your sloppy corner issue.

Is the centering grommet you're referring to that round piece on the bottom with the 2 missing pins?

By the time I found the right material and cut it nicely...it would exceed the cost and effort of just buying the real plate for $10

No the grommet is this: http://v2.globalwebcart.com/arcadeshop/i/1207/midway-joystick-grommet.htm

Quick follow up:

No wonder my joystick functioned so poorly. In the image below you will notice the joystick collar has a deep groove worn into it where it was riding along the metal edge.

In addition, the lower joystick collar what normally rides against the inside of the restrictor was so warn out it had actually sheered off a small portion.
