Got ahold of a Pac-Land that has a Sanyo 20EZ in it. However, they really botched up the job. It's been running off 120v for who knows how long and the chassis shows it. PLenty of burnt resistors, lifted pads and charred traces. As well, you get a good picture when you turn the machine on, but then it dissolves into pure choas. The game does plays blind.

I can either try to repair this chassis, or replace the chassis with a different one I have laying around.

However, instead of having to convert 120v to 100v with yet another addition to the wiring harness (it's a bit of a mess at the moment) , what sort of monitors are compatible with this game?

pretty much any monitor 19inch should be fine like wells k7000, k4900, k4600, electrohome g07, etc.

I think you my have an ez y . Thats a 120v monitor because a sanyo ez v will die quickly in 120v. Idk but someone may have done bad work to it and killed it. You need to recap it and a adjust your holds.

after you say that i was thinking i had a 20-Z2AW in one and they were fairly common and 90-110v though.

edit: Z2AW are not the 120v.

Yes, the EZY will run off 120v, however the 120v Sanyo will have a 370uf filter cap, while the 100v will have a 470uf. Sadly, mine has a 470uf. And yes, the game hasn't actually worked since it was bought. The board was a complete hack job, and was replaced. The monitor is worse somehow. I figured it would be far simpler to replace the sanyo with a different monitor so I don't have to hack up the setup more than it already is.

Are you 100% sure the filter cap is original it could very well be a bad operator had his hands on it. The burnt resistors could've been damaged in a surge or the wrong filter cap being put in. I don't think a 20ezv would live through 120v. It seems like it just needs a cap kit because sanyo's had horrible capacitors.
