Greetings All,

So I'm trying out one of @ArcadeJason 's new P4 position boards in my PP1 cockpit. Everything was pretty straight forward, my edge connectors where configured with the main on top and video on the bottom so I had to do a little rearranging there but it booted right up. Got into the menu and disabled attract sounds, and tested the inputs. Here is where I've ran into some minor issues.

1 No Brake input
2 I have gas pedal input, it rests at about 30 and jumps up when pressed. But when I start a game, my car starts to take off then nothing, no response from the gas pedal.

Has anyone installed one and had similar results?

Thanks,

Drew

Sounds like your cable could be wound backwards. Or the outer 2 pot wires are swapped. Since you mentioned brake I assume you have a cockpit cabinet. Jay Leone has mentioned his brake doesn't work either. We found he is missing 5v at his brake switch.

brake and gas get 5v from pin R on the p4 position. since you have an issue with both maybe check there first. you can also check for 5v at the pot and switch.

Thanks for the replies @ArcadeJason
It's an odd issue and probably something in my cockpit cab.
Gas input tests ok, works in PP1 but seems to lag, works for a second in PP2 then nothing.
Everything works with original boards, I'll get back after it eventually.

what seems to lag? there should not be any lagging. we have testers with world records playing this board so it shouldn't be lagging in game play.
i will look into this pp2 brake issue just to cover all grounds thoroughly.

It seemed to accelerate really slowly, probably the same issue causing no gas response in PP2.

I have no doubt it has something to do with my cabs wiring, not the P4 board. I know you test your products very thoroughly.
It was puzzling though since gas works in test.

i try lol i have been holding this board back for nearly a year to make damn sure there are no problems. it has been in testors hands for 6 months. now there are 190 boards out there and some people are having issues with sync on matsushita (and possibly other?) monitors so we still have to release an update.

for those reading who may have a sync issue we will have an update to fix it in a week or so and the update process is simple.

I had a brief sync issue, I tried dip sw1 with no luck but jumping the sync pins on my K7000 cleared it right up.

Glad to have found this. I'm bringing a cockpit back from the dead and have been having an awful time with the Matsushita sync. Eagerly awaiting the update.

k4600 - still have some sync issue but I am also still sorting out if its my monitor or the board. It could be an adjustment. I need to flip that dip switch and recheck too. I did perform the update and its a little better. I posted an image in a DM to Jason about it.

i am getting a straight image on this 4600 before and after the update. but now after the update the image is centered. have you tried adjusting the sync inductor?1759058873142.png

there is a hole in the metal frame that allows you to adjust it while in the chassis

Subbing to this. I done exactly one Matsushita, and of course its for a cockpit with the P4

My PP has a Matsushita monitor. When I hook up he P4, in I hear the game sounds but get mostly garbage on the screen. I can somewhat see the proper colors on the screen but lot of horizontal garbage. Wondering if this might be related to the sync issue…or is this just monitor adjustment issue (haven't had a chance to really mess with it yet)

The current update fixes sync with Matsushita and adds lots of cool stuff. This update deserves a video so I will make one tonight or tomorrow and put the update link in the description.
