Does anybody have a schematic of this circuit? Trying to wire this up for a multijamma and don't want to add a button specifically for this function would rather use P1 P2 start buttons like the clay cowgill stuff.
If it already has the leads for the switcher button (which I assume it does), couldn't you just do this? Might need two blocking diodes as I've previously had issues doing this with credits due to the button voltage. I'll add one with those in it too.
EDIT: Nevermind, brain fart. I'm not sure how you'd handle the button voltage not interfering with what you need it to do. There's a good way to do something like this but I can't process it right now. Perhaps if you hook up the switcher wires to the sides of the button which aren't always hot on their own from the factory button wiring. Thinking too hard...
not sure what switcher your talking about but actually if it's a arcade/jamma switcher it shouldn't really matter as long as there is a separate button that is used to switch a game the circuit below SHOULD work (assuming my 2AM thinking is sound which is always suspect), though I haven't tried it.
basically tie/splice where the "switch input" of p1 and p2 come in to pins 1 and 2 of a 74LS32 then wire pin3 of the 74LS32 to where the "game switch" input on the switcher board (where normally it would run to a physical switch if you had one).
also I left out that there probably should be 2 small "debounce" capacitors (.1uf) should between pin 1 and ground and pin 2 and ground on the 74LS32
Thanks for the help guys! I'll try it this weekend and see if I have any luck. FYI it is Clays 8-1 Multijamma, so he does have the contacts on the board to wire a normally open switch. Also thought about double stacking a leaf switch on the P1 P2 start buttons but am using cherry switch's right now.

If he's got a place to wire a NO switch, then he's already got the hardware debounce built in, so it's trivial to just wired-or the P1 and P2 start to the game switch pad with some diodes... probably need to remove his pullup resistor and put on a weak pulldown
