Over rated games fueled by community hype.

I played it at CAX. The casual observer is totally confused as how to play it.
I like horseshoes in general. So Ringer and Shuuz appeal to me.

Played some real life horseshoes with one of my kids today... I was gray, she was blue.

Did you ever consider putting a jump button in instead of the stick for this custom job? I feel like thats all that game really needs to play a lot better.
As a Kangaroo lover, you have to roll the stick up instead of just trying to push up to jump. I taught a friend how to do that, and he ended up playing for an hour. He told me he thought it was better than Donkey Kong once he learned the trick.

im willing to give it a shot. Never owned a Kangaroo. Had a chance once but it never got cheap enough to be worth the trip

I own a dedicated. The trick is when you are moving left or right, don't stop to push up to jump. Literally roll the stick along the cut out in the control panel, almost like if you're swiping up while still trying to go left and right.

Once I showed my friend how to do it and he got the hang of it, he had no trouble making the jumps. I get why people think a jump button would be handy, but I'm telling you, once you learn the roll, it becomes a lot easier.

Don't understand the hype for:

Food Fight
Food Fight for me is one of the most fun 2P trying to get a high score game there is. Wildly simple to where anyone can approach it, but it gets tough quick.

The cabinet art is some of the best of all time, too.

Everybody else shut up

Tell me more about this Parappa the Rappa idea

I always wanted to make a dedicated game with oversized buttons to make it a more arcade-style rhythm experience, think space zap with music. Iconic tunes, awesome PS1 paper graphics, I think it would make a super fun machine.

I'll second Major Havoc. I owned one once, briefly. It's neat that if offers several different genres or styles of games, but then you're limited to using the same 2-direction roller as Kick. Plus the maze screen is just pure frustration to me.

There are more than 2 of us on here that don't care for MH.

:(

I love MH. It feels like a love letter to vector technology. The game is jam packed with detail and little extras like Rex impatiently tapping his foot to wait for you to move or leaning on a wall.

I like that it has the warp system, which increases the replayability for me. I can get right back to practicing at the point where I suck!

Not sure about DOT hate. It requires a lot of coordination especially in the later levels when you can raise/lower the crosshairs. Journey has horrible gameplay. Its only great because of the cab artwork, band photo shopped band member heads and Separate Ways.
