Tron? don't get me wrong I do like the game but seems like anyone that has one thinks it is solid gold and won't sell. Met a guy that had two, one was half melted into the ground from water damage and the other was missing a bunch of electronics and he would not even consider $1000 for both
Tron is one of those multifaceted games. Is the gameplay the best ever? No. Are the video graphics wicked? No. So why a grail for me?

1. The movie came out when I was 11 and the lightcycles were off the chain. It fueled my desire to get motorcycles.

2. I'm a blacklight junkie. The cabinet colors rock.

3. Its shape is way different from the others of its time.

4. When one appeared in TRON Legacy, there was no going back.

5. When the crew here made the Encom Marquee, I almost died. Still want one.

In short, it's not always about the gameplay itself.

I had 2 in my garage and gave them both away along with Choplifter to a fellow KLOV'er for free. I didn't pay for them and they went to someone who really wanted them for his collection, not to flip. I didn't pay for them and didn't feel right charging for them. In fact, I've given all of my cabs away for free except for the 2 I kept as I was able to get them for free. I have no regrets if they went to a good home. I grabbed them to save them from destruction, not profit from them.

Yeah, Ice Cold beer. Check!
Track and Field. Double check!
Zaxxon. Still sucks.
Laserdisc games. Yep.

Vectors...some are good, some suck. There isn't anything intrinsic about the technology to display a game that makes is good or bad.
Example of full-on-vector suck? Star Castle.

Star Castle does suck.

Most of the CCPU cinematronics games blow. The hardware just didn't have the horses.

Sundance and Barrier in particular are ridiculously bad.

Let me tell you the story so you can bank up some more words. There was a place about 20 miles from me that placed arcade games all over the place. If they stopped working, they would replace them with a different game and bring it back to the shop. If it wasn't a fuse and POSSIBLY they'd go as far as a power supply, they would destroy it and toss it in a dumpster. I just happened to be driving by one day while a guy was dragging Tron #1 and #2 to the dumpster to crush. I asked what he was doing with them and he said they were too old so he was to destroy them. I borrowed a truck and grabbed them. After that he started calling me before he destroyed them. I literally took every single one without question until they went out of business. I got a couple working some I never could (but many here could have). Some worked when they were sent to the dumpster like Choplifter and Carnival. I was thrilled to save those.

Anything lately has just been that someone heard I like arcade games and wanted to know if I would come get this old thing out of their garage. The last one I got was Trog that was in a garage where the roof was basically gone. I pulled the boards and the control panel and maybe a speaker grill but the rest was destroyed. I gave what was there to a nearby KLOV'er who did his best to fix the boards and sold them. I felt good that somebody got something out of it.
