Hey guys so I think I figured out how the wiring works for outrun but i just want to verify. The two connectors on the board for power have 4 wires for +5 and 4 wires for Ground. To test my two outrun pcbs I connected all the +5 and Grounds to a switching power supply and connected the RGB monitor connection to a known good working monitor. Is this the bare minimum I need to connect just to test if the board boots up?

Any help is appreciated

the wiring schematic is on crazykong.com if you want to check it out...it looks like hooking up the 2 connectors @10P and the rgb connector @ 6P should let you know if your board boots up...you'll need to be able to coin it up and hit start to get into game play though

I didn't find it on CrazyKong but I downloaded the Owner's manual and from what I see I should be good to go.

thanks for the tip on coin up and start but I just need to test if it boots up. right now looks like both boards get power but no video. I'm gonna re-seat all the roms and look over the boards and try again.

You might want to try this if you haven't already: Set the dip switches for free play, then the game will start on it's own. I don't have a working monitor right now, so I wasn't sure if mine was booting up. My sound board was dead, so i couldn't even hear anything. I ended up putting a multimeter on the speaker wires to the amp, and i saw that I was getting something from them. I then wired up some powered computer speakers to the grey wires to the amp, and i could hear the game playing. Maybe one day I'll get a monitor (or fix mine) and actually be able to play it.
