Outrun monitor flickers when using shifter, pedals, etc

Just put a used Vision Pro that I picked up from MtZRcade into my Outrun mini. Monitor looks great, but when I start playing, the monitor flickers when I move the shifter or hit the pedals. When the solenoid shaker goes off for a crash, the monitor REALLY starts going nuts. This is probably the 4th monitor I've had in this machine, and all the others worked without issue. Any ideas?

Aside from the remote board cable, and the RGB/Sync lines, what other cables should I be looking at?

Sounds like ground wires. Start at the power supply and pull/clean the connections, especially ground wires. Work your way to the control wiring harnesses, and do the same thing, clean and re-seat all the ground wires.

+1

i was about to say the same thing only id start at the control wiring harnesses and grounds and work your way back to the power supply and then to through to the 3 prong plug and wall outlet.

make sure it doesent have cracked solder.. id guess it may.. check large reasistors, heat sink mounted transistors and most importantly check the solder of the rgb input pins.. i suspect that you might have cracked solder there.

could be something with the cab who knows but id check the chassis over anyways just to make sure.

Well, i checked, removed, and reconnected all the ground wires, and the chassis looks good from what I can tell, and it's still happening. Any semi-hard shot to the cab (slamming the shifter, hitting the gas/breaks, and worst of all the shaker motor) causes the screen to flicker. So frustrating. I even had my wife stand in front of the cab while I wiggled some of the connections and that didn't do anything.

Check the flyback for small cracks in it. Happened to two of mine. What monitor is in this game. I am considering buying one and don't even know how big the screen is. Good luck.
