Hi everyone
I purchased this cab without boardset and not able to test.

First inspection at home
Bottom plate rotten away
Rounded Corners on bottom gone by rot
Wouden Top plate above marquee broken

Original power supply board = gone
Psu that is installed=hantarex es300. Whissle when powered
Monitor hantarex e900e swollen caps (caps ordered )
Wiring loom seems adapted to fit hantarex power. Still all terminals are there

Speaker amp: seems missing.
Service buttons panel missing (made one)
And then this weird board. It seems for the sheaker motor. Small wires go to pin b18 en a18 and ground. That small board also feeds of the 230v line. I doubt that is correct.

I'm working on a pi shield that connects to the amp 50 connector and arduino to read analog
Inputs. Program works even outputs like start light, vibration motor out, etc. Rgbpi plus board on its way to feed rgbc.

I had to rebuild the "toes" on my mini as well. We made a template then cut off the old ones, using a biscuit joiner to attach new ones... then covering the seam with bondo and sanding.... and bondo and sanding...etc. Good luck!

Nice. Interesting that they converted it to a regular Out Run. Went as far as putting the original shifter.

work allmost done, have to double check before i put the pcb in production. it is a pi4 shield, header female on the bottom and stikking true this one so i can plug on the RGPI-plus module. the 50amp header will be angled out to connect to the main cabinet harness. TCP led status to check that my output script is successfull connected to mame, and a serial led to verify that the HID of Arduino micro has a valid connection. 4 hi power outputs for leds, i chose for 1 to power the white led strip (when TCP OK is lit) 2 for Red en BLUE in ledstrip when playing chase HQ. 1 for vibration motor or solinoid. The uln-ic can be left out and small resistors can be put on. ok transistors outputs are flouting on bootup, Analog input connector is verified in cabinet.

Not surprising. Turbo Outrun was not as popular, and in my opinion, not as playable, as Outrun.

Great to see an English (England) cabinet.

Hmm, I know a guy how is building pi2jamma, i have one from him ( it IS rly great ). I thought pi shield is something completely different.
Your mistaken. I build the shield with all breakout to original connector and use a rgbpi plus adapter on top of that to get only the rgbc output. First I wanted all i/o connected to gpio pins but they are not analog so i need an arduino micro or one of those a-pac modules from aimtrack. Then i would need the output module to so I decided to build it all myself and place it all on 1 pcb as large as the pi 4 itself.

Can someone provide me the lenght of the toes messured from the front were the pedals are? And should i revert it back to outrun marquee and place speakers back into original place between coindoor and control panel?

Turbo outrun is garbage outrunners is the true sequel

Back again, pcb completed and works great on stand alone mame 0.253 on a pi4. Had to do some hacks on this 1st build but on the new pcb dessign the mods are included.
When changing config (tab key) it lags a lot and screen blinking but when playing all is fine.

features are:
Boot up and autostart phyton script.
Checks rom folder and counts the games and put them in a list
On first boot 2 first game to load are always outrun and then toutrun
When mame launches it waits for max 10 seconds for the server to be loaded, the script connects local to the meme -output network and captures all commands(then the marquee will be lit and also 1 led on the pcb)
HID controller is connected. (second led will be lit)
If error it will be shown in on screen. Script will be ended.
When a output like start_lamp=0;1 is detected it will trigger the corresponding output of the arduino.
For now outputs are start lamp, vibration_motor and_2 generic out for chase HQ. (on the led strip i used red and blue for chase hq police lights)
On press of a button on the pcb or service button on the cabinet the game will be ended and the next game will start up (repeats from step 3) this time the load time is very short.
Replaced all 5K pots, the old ones jumped around to much.

Now back to cosmetic work and after that to put on the RGBPI module and altering bootconfig for CRT connection.
