Outrun Enhancement/HS kits with Super Cap available.

I ordered parts to make a handful of kits.

These are all the 4 chips listed at DarrenF's posting about the Enhancement project they provided for free.

I'm not trying to really cash in on his work. You are welcome to burn it yourself. I can even email you the patched files, and or sell your blank chips if you can burn them yourself. I have some chips that can be reburned.

Instead of even burning them myself I ordered them burned and decided to make kits available since no one has full kits and it's a hassle to find the super cap and have the 4 chps burned. I've tested it on my machine and everything is working great! I have not done memory tests on the 1.5F 5.5v super cap for how long the HS will last.

I'm just providing a service.

the last kit I am sending the battery to Darren as a thank you so it's just the 4 chips for $16

yeah the margins were pretty low after all of the shipping costs etc. I mostly did it cause I needed to order a bunch of other stuff burned and then did a run of these to offer the kit up. It basically paid for my own kit for free but it's sort of not very worth it.

Hobby ROMS can burn it for you.

I don't have any of the super caps, but I can do a set of the EPROMs for $25 shipped.

Would Super Hang On work in an Out Run cab?

My Super Hang-On boardset works fine in my Out Run mini cab as far as just connecting the two power connectors (one for each board) and the 6-pin monitor connector goes. The input connectors are wired differently for SHO compared to OR. You could, in theory, use a SHO wiring loom all the way to the pot connectors and then simply connect the OR pots to the SHO loom. You'd need to re-calibrate the accelerator and brake pedal pots as the range values differ between the two games. The steering pot range is the same. It would be a bit strange controlling the SHO bike with a steering wheel and pedals instead of handlebars and a throttle and brake lever but it's certainly feasible. I've been meaning to try this on my own OR as I have a full SHO loom but never seem to have the time to do it.
