Outrun dash reproductions

would probably get one...What was the cost projection?

I am not going to toss that into the ring right now. Luckily at this moment the plastic I am going to use is not being affected as other plastics are by huge price increases. But, it can change at any moment in this market. I will have a better idea once I get closer to being able to form the parts.

I have a price in mind for these and I want to stick real close to it so lets see where we end up once it is time to start forming these.

No worries. I am happy to take on the work and get games restored. They made the originals to break so the operators would have to buy spares. Explains why so few NOS are around!

Just scored an Outrun last week, and of course it needs the dash - I'll definitely be in for one. Like others have stated, silver like the original would be sweet! I will be watching for the official 'release'...

This dash thing still alive?

[And... Did everyone get their monitor bubbles?]

No dash has arrived yet. But it can take forever coming across the pond. The large sized one I will get to once I have a tad more time. I was in court all day today for my brothers divorce.

These will be made available. Its only an issue of getting the parts here and then making a mold.

No problem dude, life comes first! Let me know when the mini dashboard arrives finally.

Its here!

The mini control panel arrived today! I was shocked to see what they used to make it and then to try to make it look like another plastic.. Kinda odd!

The original is .060 Styrene and then painted to look like ABS.. Why? Who the hell knows!

so the good news is that the mold will be cake to do. I have to finish some pinball ramps before I begin on this one. So once those are done I will start molding this and then do the test pulls!

This mini is also considered the "economy" version. :)

So what exactly all are you proposing to make for the Outrun games here. I have a mini and a full size, but my full size needs the plastics more. :)

I will be making both sizes. The mini and the full size dash. I have access to a full size but I need to finish the pinball project before i start this one. I will be done with that next weekend.

The Dashs both need to be formed on my 24 x 24 table. I am in the process of finishing that table up as well. So once all is said and done, I will be able to finish a ton of larger projects that people are needing.
