Help!!! I just picked up an Outrun game and it is having some color problems. The vert, horz, focus, etc. all work fine, but the color seems off. For instance the blue sky just looks too dark and blends in with the palm trees that are suppose to be green. I have tried to adjust the different colors, but they just don't seem to be vibrant enough. Would a recap fix this or could there be a problem with the RCA tube or flyback? By the way, I have a WG4600 monitor.

Did you try adjusting the RGB cutoff pots? Sounds like either the G or B is turned up too high.

Yes, didn't seem to help at all. Colors got darker or lighter, but the shades of the color didn't seem to change. I hope that makes sense. Palm trees are still blue, not green and other colors are off.

Pics please.

This could be:

a) degauss problem
b) vid connector wired wrong
c) bad caps
d) bad pots
e) bad tube
f) bad signal from the board

etc.....

Nothing yet. I have talked to several people about this and they seem to think it is a tube problem and not a monitor problem. I don't know how to degauss the tube or I would try it. I also found out that the monitor is the wrong one for the game as well, so I may just look for a new correct wg4700 monitor & tube.
