Been a couple years since I posted this. At one point I had 8 OutRuns and ALL 8 had bad B gears. And I couldn't find replacement gears. I bought 2 CP's off of Ebay, both those had bad B gears too. Bummer...so, I started manufacturing steel replacement gears for myself. While replacing the first few gears I made photos, step by step, screw by screw of disassembling a sit down and up right OutRun control panel to remove the B gear. For real novices like me I had to do it this way, too many parts and the Sega manual was useless. Hope this helps some more guys working on OutRuns, still a great racing game

BTW, I've made and sold over 150 B gears since I made those first ones to get my games going again. They've been shipped to guys in Japan, Australia, all over Europe and the US. I had know idea so many of these machines were still out there, good news! I can only say "enjoy!".
