What started out as a slow year definitely ended with a bang. Although I didn't acquire any rare games, I did buy a few that we're no where on my radar such as rally x and my first kept vector black widow

I'm going to focus 2013 on trying to add some nice collector quality titles to the arcade vs going after projects. A few I'm targeting are qbert, robotron and hopefully another tron.

Anyone else have 2013 collection aspirations?

My main goal is to get the rest of my games moved and set-up at my house. I also need to re-establish my workbench and will almost certainly have to relegate that to the garage. I also really should have finished my Ms Pac resto this past summer, but all the house stuff certainly kept me busy. I'm hoping now that I'm settled in I can put more focus back on Ms Pac and hopefully a few others. As far as getting any new games, I think getting the Star Wars cockpit this year was my last and biggest "must have" game. Of course you never know what good deals may come up so who knows. I would love to keep adding to the collection if room would allow it.

My main goal would be to get a japanese candy cabinet and finish renovating my mortal kombat 2 cabinet i got earlier this month.

At this point I don't think I will be buying any more games. Going to focus on finishing up fixing and restoring a few, that I have been putting of. One is a "Helicopter Trainer" that I am going to pimp out with led's and new graphics. And then wait for Rich to finish the Star Wars cockpit art, so the other 2 cockpits will be done.

Nice. I believe my list of 10 will allow me to focus on getting my projects wiped out as well. Just need to stay disciplined

My main goals are to get my second cab and lean more about electronics repair. I want to be able to fix this stuff myself instead of asking for help all the time.

The main thing I want to get is a Dual Monitor Playchoice 10...then I can spend my time trying to collect the games and the toppers for a long time after. I have a big list of stuff I want but not enough space or money...

Been a busy year.

2012 was my first year in the hobby so it was the year of "Acquisition"

I have 21 cabinets (almost all what I would consider classics) now in various stages of working (some were bought working, some have been swapped around and are now working, etc.). I have parts, boards, monitors, a soldering iron, multimeter, a stack of TVs, a stack of VGA monitors, a stack of LCDs, etc. that I have picked up. It's been a busy year of mostly buying stuff. This hobby is alot about how organized you can be when it comes to efficiently managing your space and time. It did prompt the great basement cleanout and reorganization, which was greatly needed.

2013 will need to be the year of "Reconstruction"

I want to get each machine the parts that it needs (some need a chassis, some need a board, a couple of really gutted cabinets, etc.) so that it can be rebuilt. This is the year of learning how to do monitor work and cap kits. I am not sure it will be possible to get all the machines working completely. Some need board repair that I might not be able to accomplish yet. I would say that is a stretch goal. I might sell one this year.

The consensus I've gotten is likely the HOT BU508a or R103 causing the clicking sound. I need to pull the monitor once the weather gets a bit warmer to check on those. Plus check on the flyback and make sure it's ok.

Ah nice, that was the one you said you sent off for repairs? It's a shame I can't properly diagnose and repair mine until the Spring, but I don't want to freeze to death in the garage. haha. I wanna play some MKII!

Hmm, lets see..

Well, some basic goals would be to get both of my games fully operational. Also, selling/trading Demolition Man is high on my list. I want to find a pin that would be much more enjoyable for the rest of the apartment, and slightly more manageable. Maybe if I'm lucky, I'll run into a Pinbot, Eight Ball Deluxe, or something like that.

If I'm lucky... and I mean VERY lucky... I'll add another game. I would have to be something like Pac Man or Galaga, but you never know.
