Outer Limits/ Galaxy Blue Soiree 2011

Wow.. would have loved to have made this. I'm in Lakeville. Hopefully I can make it next time you guys have a get together. I have another buddy that's getting into the hobby too.

Phet, thanks for the invite, I'm still pissed my 231k on the Lost world was beat! It was good to see everyone, perhaps Mr. Rhoades will host at some point in the future...

I do have to agree with Allen, the layout and downstairs was awesome. Told my wife I know how we are doing it when we live somewhere with basements again! ( I will leave that openly vague for many interpretations)

It was great finally seeing the much fabled 'Outer Limits - Galaxy Blue'! Excellent attention to detail- games, decor, layout, atmosphere... it was like a timewarp back to my high school days, only with better beer.

Great group of people were in attendance - wish I had time to visit with you all more, however those games were just begging to be played...

I just have to know. Exactly WHAT KIND of beer did the one with the "phetish" serve at this party? Sounds like you all had a good time. There aren't enough collectors on here in my immediate area to make a get-together such as this possible. Would have loved to have attended...

That's pretty cool how the Ms Pac cabaret has its own space.

Glad you could come out Duane, and I am glad you played the hell out of my games. I am also glad you were not able to beat my Pole Position score. If it weren't for that game, Berzerk and Popeye, I'd have no high scores in my own arcade anymore. *sigh* Hope you guys can all come out again next year.

I was drinking New Belgium brews... Oh yeah that's what I brought. Chris was mixing up some dangerous drinks also.

Now.... I have to have a party, maybe I can time it for when Phet is in Hawaii...

I'm there Bryan. I forgot to give you your award for "Guy who traveled the furthest to attend the Party." The prize was actually a drunken, chew-laced kiss from Chris, so you can get a rain check on that one. Thanks again for coming out and I really hope I'll have even more games restored and more to show you next time.

You are a hell of a hostess my friend. Looks like a great time was had by all.

BTW - is rainman really shorter than Chris? Is that possible?

Ahhhh, you must be referring to the 'Mexican Hobbit'. Yes, and apparently so. That guy had a serious crush on Satan's Hollow. He played it continuously for more than 3 of the 6 hours he was there. Rick's good people.

Looks like a great time. And love the basement. Hard work and imagination pays off - it shows.

Phet, I'll pass on that, maybe next year you should organize an arcade crawl, three nights, three arcades, and get Chris to open his up!
I'd say no one has an excuse of "It's too far" now :)

Oh hell no. I am not the "Mexican Hobbit"'! A hobbit yes, but calling me Mexican is going to far. I'm Italian man!!!!
And yes... Satan's Hollow is my new bitch. I think you might be accurate in your time estimation on that machine. But I had to get that high score.

Phet,

Thanks again for hosting, it was a great time seeing you and the gang again. Well worth the trip. Also, as hard as I tried, your Berzerk high score still remains.

Kev - Thanks again for car pooling.
