Outer Limits/ Galaxy Blue Soiree 2011

Was it the same version that was shown during the Electric Company on PBS? I seem to remember watching a live action Spidey just before my 1:00 nap time.

Similar, yes. But this was a full-fledged TV show that apparently did pretty well in the ratings. Looking at it now, it's pathetic as all get out. I'm still thinking of buying the bootleg DVD's for $40...

Phet, we've got a last minute addition to my car - my buddy Chuck and his GF Daina are coming with too - we'll be there around 6:30. Hope that's cool...

Damn, I remember watching that show. Always was impressed by the visual effects of that spider bite. It doesn't take much.

That theme music would pass for class porn today.

I'm pretty sure I'm the first one awake today after this shindig. Little kids, man, they'll get you up every time.

Phet, I gotta say, the drive was most definitely worth it. Thanks tons for hosting.

Michael Jackson and Journey on vinyl, classic Ms Pac high score action.

Made a quick pit stop on the way home & Chuck and I got some Pop Rocks just for good measure.

Get some pics up!

A blast... for sure. All those grown men trying to sing like Steve Perry... priceless!
Here's the only picture I took all night... gorfchampion doing his thing...

A good time is an understatement. Vids were played, high scores were broken, beer was drank, friendships were made. I gotta upload the pics I have later on.
Phetish, thanks again for your hospitality. Galaxy Blue/ Outer Limits is truly an experience!

Notice how I have added Satan's Hollow to my list of WTB!!! LOL!

Whoa, great turnout, fun times. Several high scores were broken (including me finally breaking my Berzerk HS), several beers were drunk, several songs were sung. Thanks for coming you guys. And fellas, thanks for the gifts. Huge 10 lb Pac Mug from Gorfchampion, Robotron Marquee from smalltownguy, leaf switches and macadamia treats from armi (bryan), beer from Killerkades and Alejandro, tech help from Chris. Awesome guests all around. I had a blast. Next year let's do it bigger.

Phetty, you outdid yourself this year. Rearranging your games turned out for the better.

I'll have to say, the atmosphere, the hospitality, and all around kindness of Phet and his family was fantastic!

Great food, never ran out of beer(ha ha), and snacks galore was really great!

The great lineup of games was superb. The restored Gorf was the most beautiful one I have ever seen, and I have seen many. The Mad Planets-like mural was some real good eye candy to converse over. I love the Outer Limits! The whole setup was just so much fun I felt like I was 15 years old again. Great music either on vinyl or on the classic jukebox(45's), great conversation with a lot of fellas I know, and some new guys I just met. Never got bored even once. By the time I hit the hay it had been 12 hours of gaming and visiting for me.

Thanks Phetty.....

Here are a few of the pics I took.

I have to say... I look at the pictures of your games and your "game space" every time you post some. I knew it would be awesome but in all honesty, it's totally off the hook. The way you have arranged things, the layout, the colors, the accents... just amazing and envy inspiring.

The only thing better than the atmosphere you created, and the group that showed up to share it, is yours (and your wife's) hospitality.

Had a super cool time and I am here to tell all of KLOV-LAND -- the reality of "Galaxy Blue" and "Outer Limits" is a million times better than pictures of it.

So did my Ms Pac score of 112K stick, or did KillerKades manage to best it?

Awesome pics. Thanks a ton. What a great time. I'll be sure to plan out a whole day plus an overnight for the next one!

Thanks Alan, glad you liked the place. And no Bradd, sadly Big Kev knocked your score down and ravaged it like he would a drunken one-legged hooker with a bum knee. He bragged about it the rest of the night.
