Any one know the pinout for the Outrun soundboard? The sound just went out completely. Just put in another board that was confirmed working before I received it. Put it in and still nothing. I think that the board uses 12v The original PS has only 5v on it. I have looked on the web and can not seem to find the pinout for the sound board.

The 12V is only for the amplifier chip, if you google the part number you will find the pinout and just buzz through which track goes to the 12V pin.

Yes, the sound amp in OutRun required 12VDC. The original SWITCHER only has 5VDC ouput. The original (wooden) board in the bottom of the cabinet contained a transformer, bridge rectifier, and filter cap, to supply 12VDC (as well as 50VDC for the shaker motor, except in minis).

Thank you for all the help. I was able to confirm that the 12v was very static. I removed that original PS that only had 5v. I added a new Power Supply and used it for the source for the 12v. Game now has sound. Another game saved.
