Can anyone tell me how to adjust the focus on Arcade game screen. My SSF2 is so out of focus that i can barely see the characters details. Is this a sign that the monitor is going bad?

typically there's a "focus" nob on the flyback of the monitor, accessed from the rear of the cabinet.

while you can adjust it by hand, it may be better to use a screwdriver with a plastic or wood handle just in case there's a crack or leak in the flyback (which can also cause focus issues.) 20k volts don't feel good.

Six knobs which one.

Hey i see six knobs on back of the monitor tube i didnt see focus on any of them ( i see "cut off", so i try adjusting all but none seems to make the focus any better.

if you're seeing knobs like "red cut off" and "green bias" then you're looking at the neckboard on the back of the tube.

you want to be looking at the main chassis PCB, and you want to see something that looks like:

of course it'll be soldered to the board and not hanging loose.

of the two knobs you can see in this picture, the upper one is the FOCUS and the lower is the SCREEN. i think that's pretty standard, but you will want to double-check which is which on yours and be careful not to turn the SCREEN knob unless you've read up on how it works. it's sort of like a brightness but not entirely, and adjusting it can be frustrating if you don't know what you're doing.

Ok i will do a search on it but do you have any links where i can find info on it..
By the way what is the name of this part

all you have to do is find the picture above on your machine and turn with a screw driver the area that says focus.

Got it

Hey guys thanks
I did it! The Screen is crisp now. If the graphics goes out of focus again does this main the flyback is going bad?
