Well, I've not been a huge fan of mods, but this seems to be pretty cool to do!
That said, what is the best way to mount the lights to light the play field holes?

I have a TAF I'd like to try, but buying the mod "kits" from people is ridiculous at $20+ per kit.

Does anyone have pictures of how they mounted the lights?
Any machine will do, I'm specifically going after TAF, Funhouse, and possibly Cyclone.

I know Todd posted pics of the funhouse he did, top only,
I want to see how it's done and what materials/supplies people used to do it!!!

easiest is to buy pinball leds that are ready to use for GI
these you can just hook up somewhere to the GI without knowing any electronics..

if you want to add regular leds you have to add a resistor, how much it must be you can calculate online there are some tools for it..
want to add leds to a coil then take inspiration from this kit: http://www.iobium.com/medieval_madness_troll_eyes.htm

on my site I also have some led mods described:

Thanks, I was thinking more along the lines of how people are mounting the lights under the play field to light up the out-holes.... pictures??

Here is a TAF mod I have installed for the electric chair. Yellow and red bulbs under the playfield coordinate with the yellow and red bulbs on the chair. The under-playfield lambs are wired into the electric chair lamp connector. Really cool....

Now thats what I wanted to see!
Are the bulbs mounted to the wood PF inside the scoop?
No danger of the ball hitting them?

Also, has anyone done the bookcase "spotlight" mod?
What type of LED is best for that type of light?

Yep, mounted to the wood just below where you can see the wires entering the scoop. On the "front" edge, the ball doesn't hit the bulbs. Just mount a yellow and red bulb side-by-side. Nowdays, I guess you can use LEDs... back in the day when this was done, there were no LEDs.... (I'm just too lazy to take the scoop off for photos) :))

I also have some green bulbs mounted in the "swamp". The green glow fits really well.
