Andamiro picked a real lemon of a chassis for the GX cabinets. I've heard nothing but horror stories, and our cabinet, on its second chassis mind you, and this machine is only just barely 4 years old, is already having monitor problems again.

About once a week, when we turn it on, it'll do this:

Almost like it's syncing in the wrong place... if you power cycle it though, it goes back to normal.

The chassis, far as I can tell, was a custom job done for AM by a company called Kortek... possible it's a clone of some WG or Nanao model, but I doubt it. The sticker on the back of the neckboard reads "Kortek KT3414-DF", I'd assume that's the model number, but I can't find anything definitive -- not so much as a datasheet! If anyone has any real information on this chassis (a schematic would be really nice!) please let me know.

Here's some (bad) pics of the chassis still attached to the tube:

On a side note, this cabinet has been interesting, to say the least... all sorts of dumb wiring issues, especially related to the coin door. And we're the first owner, so there isn't the possibility of a previous hack tech stuffing things up... The coin meter STILL doesn't work and I'm not really sure why; best guess, something's still blown on the I/O panel on the computer.

That dirty and only four years old?

Might be heat-related. Clean that dust off, and maybe change the caps (lots of low-quality caps used on these things).

If you have an on-screen menu adjustment setup, try doing a factory reset...
