So i just sold my UMK3 conversion cabinet and had an appt to deliver it this morning. I made it to the buyer's house and we were unloading it from the back of my truck. He had the top and I had the bottom. As he was pushing it out to me, the right hand tail gate hinge broke and the machine fell abruptly. Unfortunately, I tried to pull my hand away before it got crushed. I almost made it....

(I'll link a pic because posting it here openly would be bad)

...the tip of my finger is crushed and I need re-constructive surgery to fix it. Merry Christmas indeed.

Fuck. Sorry to hear about that. Looks pretty bad.

Is the game ok? :)

yum.

seems your typing is still quick and precise so not all is lost :D

That sucks, I hope it heals up quick. On the plus side, it's given more character to when you flip the bird, and makes a great story to tell.

Fatality!!!

If any cabs gonna spill that much blood it should be a MK, right?

Aaaaaaaah! I tried to cut the end of my finger off with a table saw, and I don't think it looked that bad. How long was your ER wait?

I was there about 2 hours, but all they did was clean it up and stitch it together. I have to go in Monday for re-constructive surgery. The bone is crushed and they have to remove my fingernail, remove the flesh from the tip of the finger, fix the bone, then put the flash back on and sew it all up again.

Wow, that's a pretty big ouchie!

No disrespect and not trying to be a wise-ass or anything but did they say anything about just removing the tip of your finger? I work(worked) with lots of old timers who all had some degree of missing digits. That picture to me looks like a case for a nucklectomy if I ever saw one.

Here's to a speedy recovery. :beerchug:

Thanks. A knuckletctomy wasn't mentioned. I have also been a bowler for 25+ years and it isn't an option. It's just smashed. Not beyond repair. I'll have to wait and see what the surgeon says on Monday.
