I saw this Gyruss come up with a starting bid of $100, BIN of $400, and since it's in CT I thought I'd see if I could get a bargain. Unfortunately, from the photos it would appear as though it's had the speakers removed from it. The description is pretty awful - poor grammar and spelling, short, doesn't mention how the game sounds or plays - so I'm guessing if someone needs a parts machine, they may get a good deal.

Edit: I asked the seller about the missing speakers, his response was much better-written than the auction description, and says it's not missing speakers, that the sound works.

I'm curious why you thought it was missing speakers? The pictures don't show that. I'd bid on it in a heartbeat if I didn't already have one (and it was close to me).

The space behind the grills is white, like there's nothing between the wood and the grills. If I'm wrong, then so be it. It just looked that way to me.

Pretty sure that's how they look:

Not the best pic, but the best I could do of my own game.

I guess the other question is, is that your bid on it now? Hehe! Good for you if it is. It's a really fun game - I've always called it the "Poor Man's Galaga". I put the Konami 80's kit in mine BUT I swapped out the Control Panel, so I still have a mint original. And the JAMMA harness isn't mounted in the cabinet. The original harness and board is. To switch it back, I just have to move the power lines to the Konami harness on the power supply, replace the CP, and move the video cable. So I could be 100% original with very few changes.

that's my bid on there - I'd really like to have a Gyruss, but don't want to pay too much for it. Hoping to grab this one on the cheaper side......
