Otaku's Ultimate Electro-Mechanical Guide & EM Theory Of Operation

Before smack talking pinside, maybe you should tell the people on this site how you scammed a bunch of people on there when your basement flooded and took advantage of the kindness they offered and purchased new machines with the donations then bragged about it.

Judge for yourself.

https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/apology-to-dasvis

That never happened lol, I asked for money to help fix my basement and that's what it went to. I came up with more money afterwards through a streak of good work (lucky, and unexpected) and bought machines as usual. People were offended because apparently if you ask for assistance once you're never allowed to buy machines again, lol. People told me rather than paying them back I should just pay it forward and that is what I did. They didn't want to be paid back even when I DIRECTLY ASKED.

I only apologized because I said I slept with some dude's wife as a petty joke or something I forget and realized that was uncool (It would have went over well if they weren't 60 years old I was just BSing obviously), otherwise there was nothing to apologize for

Again, that's my gripe with Pinside, too many conspiracy nuts - they were only offended because they're too old to understand GoFundMe - "ye damn kids must work hard for what ye want! Back in mah day we had to shine shoes for money!", if they didn't want to support my cause they didn't have to donate (and didn't). Those who wanted to did, and that's that. There's people all over GoFundMe using it for personal gain, people need to get with the times. Mine wasn't even personal gain per se either, it was keeping my machines from being flooded/destroyed.

Good golly miss molly

And I'm not going to discuss that with you further, I asked for help on there and it turned into saggy old men trying to investigate my personal life as to why I couldn't work "but could still haul a pinball machine around at a show" (creepy), sharing assumptions, calling me autistic (lol), among other things. Plain and simple I was wrong in some points of that, sure, but overall if you compare the two I was like a saint compared to a lot of people who involved their worthless time in that.

It's crazy how somebody could have so much free time to do stupid stuff like that. If they didn't wanna donate they could have stayed out of it instead of turning every completely unrelated thread I opened into a 30 page thread. But I guess that's what happens when you have spiderwebs around your genitals. :p

Before MusicMan can bring down a very well-written and informative post any further, I just wanted to say this is great!

I have a Williams Kingpin that I do need to fix a few more problems on, and was going to do some repair logs on EMs, but you beat me to it!

Great job!

Thanks for the sticky, whoever did it! I have just noticed.

If not I can take some photos Like TeamOne inside and out to ID

Score Motor. stepper motors coils relays etc.

Do score motor look different in some em model?

Anything you, already said just send me to the chapter for more details

if already mention.

I read the multiple posts on pinside about this alleged Ultimate guide.

The sentiments there was there are multiple sections stolen from a number of books and reference guides and posts on pinside.

It was therefore (discarded and not stickied).

Any reason this is still stickied here?

It is honestly a hard read IMHO.

Dear Lord, thank you for posting. I thought I was the only one. This was a watered down version of a lot of other great work that has been out there for years.

Sticky should be voted on ONLY.

I post a lot of detailed info and no one has had

a problem finding it!

The is a good subject it needs to be understood.

We can start a new thread easy enough.

For those who have experience to explain

How It work's and how to trouble shoot it.

and what goes wrong and how to divide the circuits.

to see what is working.

This was typed from scratch and let alone copying, I didn't even REFERENCE any other (outdated and hard to get at) guides. All from my brain. Sticky helps spread knowledge. Lol'd though.

Using a new screen name now, but still just as arogant I see. I agree, better information is always good; this is not "better" dude....sorry.

I have no idea why this is still sticky at all.

And, as a small comment...just because your fingers pushed the buttons to 'type it from scratch', that doesn't mean the information wasn't taken from others' work.

I have seen you give your opinion plenty of times on repairs. And it is nice of you to try to offer help, but you are not always correct and don't give the best advice in some situations. We aren't all perfect (myeslef included obviously) and it is great for people to try and help, but being pompous about it and needing to be put on a pedestal gets old quickly for many...

And my mom and dad taught me to write words - does that mean it's their work too? :) No.

And usually I like to think I'm correct. If I'm not sure, I don't reply, so there's no a big chance for error, still always a chance yes.

Aren't you the guy who took donations when your basement flooded, then spent the money buying machines, the got banned from Pinside?

I didn't use the money for machines (that's a dirty rumor) nor get banned from Pinside. I still post there regularly.

Nor did I make this to stir up further rumors or drama - it's here to help, so I would appreciate if this discussion stopped for good.

On a more positive note, a few weeks ago I started making a new guide involving diverse moving images to cover the whole spectrum. Maybe that'll shush the people claiming this is a copycat. :)
