I just saw one at a pawn shop near me and thought it would look cool. What are your thoughts on putting non arcade stuff by all your games?

It is the 12" wide model all yellow, nice condition, wired for 110v.
Sticker on it says 350, but she asked me what I would pay for it and I said 250. She said they would most likely take it since it's been there a while.

Here is what it looks like

I have that same one in my game room; kids love it. Check eBay, mine was only $100. There are quite a few around since cities have switched to the LED version to save money.

I think its a cool idea, but yeah, I agree with everyone else, you can probably find one much cheaper if you really look around. Probably not wired, but that should be fairly easy to do.

You guys are awesome. Thanks for the prices gjinc. I will most likely be getting one, but now a lot cheaper thanks to you. Maybe I will just go back in there, and bring a bunch of cheap ads with me, and haggle them down to a reasonable price.

Lighting of all kinds can look good, depends on the implementation!

I have had one for a while, fits well with the racing games.
I WOULDN'T pay $250 for one.
The lights usually run around $30-$60 for a 3 light signal at flea markets I have been to.
A sequencer to make the lights work can be about $50.
That being said, I have $100 in mine with a sequencer installed.
(Bought at the Dayton Hamvention)

I have two that I picked up in Kalamazoo for $45 each and the work great. They had 10-12 of them at the time but I thought two was all I would want. I do want to wire them to flash at diffrent times though.

During my time as a mobile DJ, I learned that the newer LED 12" (x3) traffic lights make awesome DJ lights. We would buy old plastic 5 gallon buckets, cut them way short, and use them for a "par can". The cool thing about those LED's are they can strobe (with a strobe controller). The on/off is almost instant, where an incandescent bulb has that glow after it is off. Cannot strobe an incandescent bulb.

I've got 2 or 3 in my garage that I'd sell way cheaper than $350. They may need a little TLC but they're solid metal lights were used in Chicago before the switchover to plastic LED type. If you're local and interested, drop me a line.

Fullthrottle has one and it llooks great. The only oncern I have is they are very bright. Might be cool for the work area of my gameroom but I would be concerned about them washing out the games in the gaming areas. Of course, they are cool enough without being on that I have considered putting one in my gameroom and not even wiring it up.

They have standard bulb sockets, so you can put in lower wattage bulbs. I think I put 40watt bulbs in mine and it's still a bit bright. The bulbs that are originally in the traffic signals are insanely bright indoors.

I installed 11 watt bulbs in mine, bright, but doesn't light the room up.
