hey everyone I need a little help, I need to buy new caps for this tv to get it working but im having a hard time trying to figure which ones I need and the search on sites like digikey are kinda confusing to someone who has never ordered from there, here is my cap list can anyone give me some advice on what to buy to fix this tv? also what do i replace the 1000mfd 50vdc with? thanks

3 470uf 35v

3 1000uf 35v

1 22uf 450v

1 470uf 16v

2 1000mfd 50vdc

is mfd a weird way for that cap maker to put "microfarad" ? (uF) :p

It's not really all that weird. Using mfd is pretty common actually. A lot of older caps will be marked "MFD" for microfarad, and "MMFD" for micro-microfarad.

But yeah, all those caps are real common values. Other than the confusion of the one cap - what problems are you having? Just look under aluminum electrolytic capacitors, and select the value/voltage rating you want. You might want to spend the extra few cents and go for the higher temperature rated (105 degree) caps, but you don't have to.

you know now that I think about it, I may have come across some caps marked with mfd. run across some real dinosaur stuff the past couple months, lol.
 
i guess my only question now is, what do i use to replace the ones with mfd?
