I've had a 19 inch touch screen in the arcade for a couple years now and its always been a hit. It almost always has someone on it playing games. Its not always classics that are played but now and again the Touch 7000 and 8000 ROMs get played even.

Recently I managed to snag a deal on a touch screen and couldnt resist... Picked up a fully working 46 inch samsung touch screen LCD monitor.

This thing is huge!! Wow! Playing Bejeweled, Zuma, or even touch master 8000 games is a blast!!

A shame there aren't any emulations of the JVL touch screen games, or others.

Any suggestions on other touch screen games for the PC? Popcap games are usually good, along with the hidden object ones, so I have those already.

Now I just need to find a slightly better PCI-e video card. The one I have does okay at 1920x1080 but I want a little faster :)

(slightly washed out pic, lol)

Uh Wow.. speechless..

46'' touch screen? Hell my eyes hurt just imaging standing in front of it that close playing games. Guess it's one of those things you have to see in person to get the full grasp of it? Anyways.. damn.. very nice.

SWP quiz machine software. There are 100's of fun games to use on your Simple Touch FE. Join Fruit-Emu site and get a free login at Cliffs Repro for all the downloads. Here is a video (not mine) of some of the SWP games (including Donkey Kong quiz). I am in the process of building mine from a large slot machine. Going to make it a video slot/mega touch type with Simple Touch FE.

It is big, but very cool for playing games. Especially the hidden object games. :)

and thanks for the tip RidicRick25!! Now if the Cliff repro site would work for me..

Not to hijack the thread..

...but are the touchscreens in the Megatouch games normal CRTs that have an added element in front of the tube? Could I swap the monitor for another without interfering with the "touch screen" aspect?

Turn the thing into an interactive table... or make an interactive desk like in tron.

Is the Touchmaster software emulated? That is extremely BADASS!

There is a company in my building that makes the touch component for big ass monitors. Their showroom is like the lab in CSI. You can send stuff to other monitors by swiping.

What software are you running? I have a 19" LCD touchscreen that I was going to use for a touchscreen jukebox, but I might rethink it if I could get something like what I saw on your screen.

I use SimpleTouchFE

Its very simple, basic and easy to set up. Perfect for touch screens!!

There are also some really cool skins but I found this one to work for me for now.

As for the TouchMaster 7000 and 8000's, those are emulated via mame. I use mame32UI to launch them via a command line..

I've been playing with area 51 and other lightgun games. Its pretty funny 'touching' the aliens on Area 51 to make them explode lol

Bumping this up - I've been playing with my touchscreen monitor lately, and I'd almost forgotten about this thread. I just want to keep it top of mind....

What are your favorite games you've tried/loaded for your touchscreen?

Off the top of my head, I think of:

  1. Angry Birds
  2. Bejeweled Blitz
  3. Touchmaster Games (mame)
  4. Cut the rope?
Any others?

Thanks for the list! The biggest favorite right now is Plants Vs Zombies.

Otherwise my list is:
The 80's Game with Martha Quinn (trivia, sorta works)
Jeweled 3
Bubble Popper (wellgamez)
Dragon Keeper
Luxor Adventures (not 100% touch screen)
Press Your Luck
The Price is Right
Jewel Quest
The Fool
Touch master 7000 and 8000
Trivia Gems
Trivia Machine
Wheel of Fortune

Oh yeah these too

Who wants to be a millionaire
Zuma's Revenge
Zombie Bowl-a-rama (A bit tricky on touch screen)

There are others but those are the better of the games. Hidden object games are fun

how does the touch screen interface with the processor?
I'm wondering if you can just plug one of these mini Android computers into it.

someone is trying to sell a 46" touch screen TV on CL nearby for $1800. MAN THATS A BIG GAME OF ANGRY BIRDS

My friend has a sweet 19" touchscreen im trying to get my hands on to build a jukebox. Its from military equipment and is enclosed in a nice HD aluminum case. I have almost 12,000 mp3's so it could make one hell of a jukebox. Im thinking recessed in the wall flush right in the gameroom. So are those games emulations? They would be a nice addition to the jukebox.
