Hello all,

My first post to this forum...and it's slightly off topic - sorry...

I just acquired a Atari Video Music unit that I plan to hook up in my game room. I would like to connect it to one of my juke boxes but I'm unsure of the input to the unit. I'm looking for a user guide for this unit.

I found a website with Google that listed a copy of the user guide, but the link was broken. Anyone have any ideas on where a guide might be found?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Tom

Don't have a link for you, but I do have one of these stashed away in a closet somewhere.

(And the version built into the Atari Jaguar is really quite awesome. Anyone know how to get it to work with an iPod?)

never heard of this but a quick google search lead me to this wikipedia page. Is this the device?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atari_Video_Music

wikipedia entry say this.
"The Video Music hooks up to a TV through an RF switchbox. The other hook ups are left and right RCA jack inputs that hook up to an audio amplifier's RCA outputs."

So if this is correct based on what I'm reading you need an amplifier with rca outputs (or you could make rca to raw wire if your amplifier only outputs to raw wires. Basically plug from the output of the amp to the rca inputs of the unit. really doesn't matter which rca plug goes to which rca port as long as you are going to the input. Even if there happen to be both rca inputs and outputs, you are very unlikely to cause any damage plugging into the wrong one. You just won't get any sound or effect plugged into the wrong one.

I just scanned the setup section of the manual hope it helps. The manual is really a strange size. I'll see if I can scan the whole thing at work tomorrow, if you're interested.

Hey Blinddog,

That is what I needed. I needed to see the audio portion of the setup. I was planning on connecting this unit to my Rock-ola jukebox, but now I'm not sure I can do it as it does not have a 'line level' output. I'll have to give it a try and see if it works or not.

Thanks for the help.

Tom
