Anyone into old computers? Specifically Amiga stuff? I have a huge collection I am thinking about letting go.

The hi-lights:

An Amiga 500.
Bodega Bay extenstion module for the 500. It provides an external bus and 3 drive bays. I need to see what cards are in there. A SCSI at a minimum and prob a mem expansion.
An Amiga 2000

2 external 3 1/2" floppies.
External CD ROM drive.
Keyboard,speakers, couple of mice.
Sharp Scanner
TV in "card"
Software...like tons of it. What is literally 1000's and 1000's of floppies.

I am not looking to split it up, and it would have to be pickup only as it weighs...a LOT.

Not sure on price. If someone is interested lets see what we can work out.

Software, actually, just some of it.

First pic, the 4 paper boxes as well as the 4 odd boxes on top of them are all software. 95% by volume are floppies. Some loose and some in cases.

No love for the Amiga. )-:

The Amiga is the best computer of all time - for its time - period. No debating me here. Innovative, ahead of its time. Great selection of software.

The company was sadly mismanaged and out smarted by its competition, never realizing its true potential, or allowed its chance to evolve its product line. If managed correctly, that platform could of evolved into the Apple of today. Just saying. I mean back then, that platform was more powerful than alot of others out there, and its power was used in a lot of high scale applications, especially film and music industry. Too bad it died off so early.

if i had the room to dedicate i would take this on and set it up in a heartbeat. too bad i have huge arcade and pinball machines using up my floor space.

Amiga had some of the best games of all time - i am sure you have quite a few of them (if not all of them) in that collection. Good luck on the sale.

Amiga Yes, Kentucky no

Plenty of love for the Amiga, just not enough to balance a drive to Kentucky or shipping costs.

These units till move quickly on eBay

Agree on the Amiga.

Have owned an A500, two 2000's and a 3000's.

Used to run a BBS on it years ago.

I sold all my disks a few years ago (literally over a thousand) for like 150 on eBay.

There is a good emulator on PC that runs all the games. Been playing Crystal Hammer and Defender of the Crown on it.

I have said for years that the Amiga was my favorite computer of all the ones I've owned. I actually sold my Aplle IIe computer to buy one (an A500) way back in 1990. It opened my eyes to all the things that would become a part of my future computing experiences - music production, graphics work, and mind-bending games.

Free bump for a great system and a stellar collection!

I sort of gave up on eBay years ago. Even before they changed business models to be more of a Amazon "buy it now" type of a site with forced use of PayPal.

That is part of the equation, all the software. There are thousands of floppies packed in those 8 boxes. I would say no duplicates as they all came from one source so its not a conglomeration of collections from various individuals. If I sold off the HW I would be left with the SW. To be honest I am not in the mindset to try and accurately define the contents of the flip files, or even a whole box, for pieced out sale. There is just so much there. Then there is shipping. Each of those boxes it pretty heavy. I know someone would love to have it so I am not inclined to send it to the land fill.

Ideally I would like it to go as a whole. Sale or trade. I do collect the Vic 20 and the C64 as well as Atari consoles. The Amiga is just outside of my interest. Worse case I will stuff it in a shed and hook up with some Commodore or old Computer user groups or clubs and shop it all around.

I agree 100000%! I loved this computer back in the day. I came from owning an Apple 2E and the Colecovision Adam to owning the Amiga 2000. Great computer on so many levels!

Good luck on the sale. If anything I might want to buy just the A2000 and nothing else.
