Hi

I could pick up a cheap oscilloscope but it's only 10mHz and am I right in thinking this is not enough for working on old Williams boards (Defender, Robotron)? It's a Leader LBO-514, dual trace/dual channel scope. Should I save my money for something better?

TIA, Dominic

Depends on how "cheap" it is... if it's $10 or $20 and it comes with probes, then why not? If it's more, save your money.

Not quite that cheap - more like US$70, but it does come with a manual and two probes. However, even $20 is too much if it won't be of any help to me.

PS. Mods - sorry about posting in the wrong place and thanks for moving it - it was late at night and I obviously wasn't watching what I was doing too carefully.

Contact Chad, he's on the forum under "Arcadecup.com"

He's selling faster oscilloscopes cheaper than what you are looking at.

You're right... didn't notice that.

The OP might want to check on the vintage-computer.com forums as he'll probably find a better deal on a scope from one of the locals over there.
