Was wondering if anyone has been there to see what is there. Anything good? Alot of games? Please some one post the prices!!!!!!

Nobody from here went???? Cmon guys dying to know something here!!!

I did not go to this one, but i did attend the one there in June of 2009. I could not beleive some of the hacks I saw. A super monaco gp with a ms. pac control panel on it. A nice galaxian cabinet with a ms. pac marquee, pac control panel and a 13" monitor, not 19". Mostly conversions in rough shape. About 20 pinball machines, one of which I wanted but did not get, Time Machine. I know this is old, just thought I would mention.

I was there, wish I saved the tank of gas. The had about 40 vids, mostly junk, consisting of 2 mames, around 10 48/60 in ones, 3 unrestored ms pacs with rough cabs ($300-400), a robotron/joust combo board in an unknown cab for around 300, worn centipede upright with a bad ball for 225, and mostly worn out jamma crap.
LOL, most interesting pieces was a Pacman, didnt work, had SEVERE termite damage on all sides, a Galaga cab, no monitor but a sign that read "Good Board", and a worn Defender cabinet with no monitor, each bringing over 200

the pins were a different story, they had about a dozen, and they were nice machines that went fairly cheap.

they hadabout 15 sitdown games, but I left before they sold

all in all, it was a wasted trip for me, they had less than 1/4th of the games they had at last years Jan auction, and no quality vids at all. Over half the people that came in left before the auction started

Thanks for the info!!! Guess I didnt miss anything. Maybe things will pick up

I have always enjoyed going to the Dallas auctions and have meet some really nice KLOV members over the last couple of years, but I'm afraid to say that the days of the big auctions are most likely over. The last couple of auctions that I have attended I find myself leaving early as there just isn't anything that interests me or the shell biding that occurrs turns me off from bidding.

It seems that the auctions put on by auction game sales are still a decent size even on a bad day.

anyone know when the next SA in Orlando is? I checked the site and didn't see any upcoming

I heard they were coming back to GA but nobody knows when. Guess Rob has so much money now he doesnt care like he use too. He use to have the city auction list and dates up pronto but now look at it.

I suspect that SA will hold fewer regular scheduled auctions, but will continue to hold auctions in which operators are going out of business. I know in Dallas they would have anywhere from 4 – 6 auctions a years, but I'm guessing that we will only have 2 or 3 auctions a year.

I checked yesterday and they've got one in March scheduled. I am thinking they might cut back if they can, though.

I wished I would have started going to these auctions when the getting was good. The one I went to on the 23rd was a little disappointing.Mostly junk and horrible multis with very few good items mixed in.I figure if I want anything at a decent price that doesn't look like it was dragged down the street,I'll have to just skulk on CL until I see something of interest.I would try ebay, but basically every game listed is extremely overpriced and/or not anywhere near me.
