(Help Needed)Monitor Repair Log: Orion KMP 2935v

So I decided to start a repair log. I don't think I will get far with it. I am running blind with no schematic, and just a general point of reference: My monitor charges, but with only static on the screen, I don't see a picture/little dot in the center of the screen.

I have two burnt resistors, but with no shorted caps in the vicinity. The cathode looks cracked, but is still solid, not snapped off broken per say. There is a repair shop in Northern Jersey (http://www.jbmonitorrepair.com/index.html) I am about to send the chassis to, but I would love to get an answer to what you guys think could be the issue here.

Again, no picture, burnt resistors going to the flyback, but no blown or shorted caps. I pulled two caps in line with the circuit, just before the badly burnt of the two resistors, and they tested to what they are labelled to do.

Could this cracked cathode be the basis of my issue, causing some short drawing all too much power through the circuit?

I have no idea if the tube does or doesn't have it's vacuum, so if there is a way to test that, that would be great too.

Thank you for any that reads and chimes in. I will probably send it off tomorrow or Wednesday if I can't get anywhere. I will take pictures of anything if needed.

Repair Log:
-Traced the circuit that the resistors are on and tested two caps in line with it. Both tested fine.
-Found a large ceramic block diode on the neckboard with a cracking solder joint that would open the circuit if pushed the wrong way - re-flowed back to solid.

Hello everyone,

Information on this monitor is pretty scarce. I was wondering if anyone had a manual or schematic for the circuitry? I e-mail Jomac in AU as Ken has previously written to do in the past, but those are older threads, and maybe there is more info floating around. I figured I should still ask here. Thanks in advance.

Jomac stated he only deals with individuals in Australia. So there goes the only lead on these things. I will try contacting Orion/Korion themselves.

Bumping for the change of Request for Schematic to Repair Log.

Edit: Just realized my topic title didn't change. -.- I will repost the thread after this one dies off.

Thank you,
-Jeremy
